What Is a Workplace Campaign?
A United Way Workplace Campaign makes it easy for your team to support life-changing programs across Central Arkansas.
Through payroll giving, volunteer opportunities, and special events, your employees can give back in ways that are meaningful, simple, and measurable. Many contributions are pre-tax, and some employers even choose to match employee donations—doubling the impact.

How It Works
We make the process simple - from kickoff to celebration.
Plan
Start by meeting with United Way to set your campaign goals and map out a kickoff event that fits your company’s culture.
We’ll help you:
- Choose a timeline that works for your team
- Set fundraising and participation goals (We’ll help you keep them realistic but meaningful)
- Decide on incentives (Consider a raffle prize, a team lunch, or a simple shoutout for departments who hit their goals)
Our team will guide you through each step, provide ready-to-go materials, and make sure you feel confident and excited to launch your campaign.
Kickoff
Host a Give-Back Kickoff Event (in-person or virtual). This could happen during a staff meeting, an offsite, or an all-hands gathering. Hosted by our executive director, we'll help make your kickoff fun with these engaging activities:
- Testimonies from local families and grant recipients
- United Way table where employees can sign up for their annual giving and/or volunteer opportunities
- Raffle prize announcement (Consider offering a donated gift or an extra day off!)
Promote & Give
We’ll provide everything you need to inspire your team:
- Pledge Sheets (with examples like: 100 employees giving $5/month = funds programs like Stuff the Bus)
- Campaign Graphics for email, social, and posters
- United Way Swag to make your kickoff event fun and memorable
- Annual Impact Report to show employees exactly what their giving made possible
Employees can choose payroll deductions or one-time gifts. Some companies match donations for even more impact.
Celebrate & Reflect
Once the campaign wraps, we’ll help you celebrate:
- Share results and thank your team
- Recognize top contributors or departments
- Host an Impact Session once a year to hear real stories from people your campaign helped
