Fall Mini-Grants

The fall mini-grant cycle will begin October 1st, and end October 31st.

The United Way Mini Grants will give the flexibility to meet community needs that may arise between the annual allocation-cycle. The intent of these monies is to fund programs that seek to meet high priority needs of the community. Funds may be designated for:

 1) Community needs or innovative programs and/or 2) New approaches to previously identified needs; and/or 3) An agency or community emergency. The level of funding available from the United Way Mini Grant shall be determined by the Board of Directors of the United Way of Central Arkansas.

Mini Grant Guidelines

Fall Mini Grants for the 2025-2026 fiscal year will be awarded in January 2026. The Fall Mini Grant is available to organizations that serve or operate in Faulkner, Conway, Perry, and/or Van Buren counties. 

The eligibility requirements for organizations applying must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Operate as a 501c3 non-profit charitable human service or health organization; governmental entity or educational institution.
  • Operate under written Articles of Incorporations and By-laws or other written documents or statutes that define the applicant’s purposes, membership, management and operation.
  • Demonstrate effective program performance and financial responsibility and accountability.
  • Operate or provide service within Faulkner, Conway, Perry, and/or Van Buren counties.
  • Provide services that align with United Way of Central Arkansas currently identified mission.
  • Applicants must be engaged in the work of Health and Safety, Education and/or Income Stability. Their proposed project should outline measurable goals and objectives and include an evaluation plan.
  • Grant recipients must be 501c3 non-profit organizations. Recipients will file a written report 12 months after the receipt of the award.
  • Grant recipients shall acknowledge United Way of Central Arkansas in all promotional materials, activities, and programs funded with United Way monies.
  • Mini-Grants shall not be awarded to current year United Way Partner Agencies, though prior and/or prospective Partner Agencies are welcome to apply.

Funding Range & Timeline

  • Grant funding range will be up to $5,000
  • October 1st, 2025: Applications available
  • The deadline for complete applications is October 31st, 2025
  • Applications will be reviewed by staff of the United Way of Central Arkansas with funding recommendations submitted to the Community Impact Committee for review at the November committee meeting

 

  • Full board approval at the regular December board meeting
  • Award notifications will be sent by December 31st, 2025
  • Full awards processed on January 15th, 2026
